BAHAMAS — Samaritan’s Purse continues to serve hurting homeowners in the Bahamas by removing debris from their homes and repairing roofs following the devastation caused by Hurricane Dorian in September 2019.

Daniel Droy, Samaritan’s Purse

Since first arriving– we arrived after a pretty traumatic event for everyone– you’re not operating as you used to. And slowly but surely, there’s been progress. Our current program is debris removal and the shelter program, mucking and gutting people’s homes which have been damaged from the hurricane. Taking what’s been damaged away has also been just lightening the load on people.

It’s everyone pitching in together. It’s local people, Samaritan’s Purse, all working together to essentially move debris and to move on from this destruction.

Pastor Robinson Weatherford, International Global Mission

Thank the Lord for Samaritan’s Purse. It’s done so much to help us get back on our feet.

It’s really a blessing to see how God has used even the bad storm to bring people together and to allow people to be part of the recovery, to be part of the healing, to lend a helping hand.
